Jalapeno and corn hush puppies

I have been dreaming of warmer weather. I know that’s pretty common when winter seems to drag on, but this year seem to be especially bad. It’s nearly April and temperatures are still dragging at the freezing mark. I don’t know if we were somehow transported to Maine, but something is up.

When we visited my sister-in-law in Florida in February I half expected to come home to spring. Wouldn’t that have been a nice transition? Instead, we got back just in time for one of the biggest snow storms of the winter. Continue reading

Like a toddler.

Is the holiday aftermath getting to me? Am I just stressed and overwhelmed? Do I desperately need that week away in Florida to visit my sister-in-law and her bf? Yeah, that one for sure. Palms trees and sandy beaches are calling my name!

Well, I don’t know what’s driving me insane but it’s doing a good job of it. To unwind, I’m eating one of my favorite snacks, just recently discovered this summer after a trip to Rehoboth Beach. A fancy little sushi restaurant serves these killer edamame. What a crazy thing to say, right? Edamame cannot be that exciting. But it is. Continue reading
